Arabella always lived on the road. Her father was a traveling businessman, and her mother painted portraits of huge socialites. Moving from city to city all around Holland. She never really had any friends, since she moved too many times to make any. Life didn't have much meaning. So she asked her father for a check, said goodbye; and off she went. Arabella wanted to move far far away, so Shanghai it was. Once she stepped a foot inside Shanghai, everyone knew who she was. But only for her parents, that is. Arabella wanted people to know her, for her; so she fought her way to the top. Using every connection, even if that means stabbing people in the back. And finally Arabella has her place. She's living off the daily checks her father sends, and every once in a while; she models for some people. But Arabella still feels separated, and alone. Can this socialite find her place? Or lose her spot at the top trying.

Why I want the part;
I absolutely LOVE the idea for this roleplay! It is very original idea in a very interesting location that I haven't seen in any other roleplay. I really love Arabella as a character. I think I have a really great story line in mind for her and would love to carry it out. Out of all of the other 'doll faces' and 'head b.itches' Arabella really stood out to me. Also, I think Emily Didonato is BEAUTIFUL, and I would love to use her as I haven't yet. I really think this is going to be an amazing roleplay and I would love to be a part of it. Even with school going on, I am going to be as active as possible, because I would hate to see another fabulous roleplay die as so many that i have been apart of have. Thank you (:

Riley was born in London, England, but grew up in Curitiba, Brazil with his parents who did humanitarian work there. He has the most adorable accent. He lived there for most of his life until his family recently relocated to Amsterdam, Holland. Riley comes from a wealthy, well educated family that was always giving to others and doing charity work. He has never been the coolest kid and was always a considered a 'nerd'. He got excepted into a prestigious college in Holland, which is where he met Arabella and they have been inseperable ever since. Riley is extremely sweet and generous which is what attracted Arabella to him. He loves her for her, and not for her parents. They have been dating for 2 years and are still going strong and have decided to tackle Shanghai together. But will the unpredictable city of Shanghai, bring them closer together, or push them apart?

Story;
"Babe, wake up... we're here!"
 
"Hmmm?" I felt someone nudging me softly.
 
"Ara, we've landed in Shanghai" my boyfriend, Riley whispered in my ear.
 
I rubbed my eyes and sleepily looked out the window.
 
We were there, finally, after seven hours.
But I knew It was going to be worth it, I was excited to be starting this new chapter of my life with Riley, away from my parents.
 
I was always caught in their shadow, but now I'm here to make a name for myself.
 
Riley and me collected our carry-on luggage and gracefully exited the airplane.
 
Riley leaned over towards me and whispered , "Baby, we made it."
 
I smiled and pecked him lightly on the cheek.
 
After some navigation difficulties we finally made it through the busy airport and out on to the street where we called a taxi.
 
A taxi arrived promptly. We hopped in and the taxi driver turned around.
 
"Where t... hey aren't you Edward & Alice Van Buren's daughter?!"
 
I sighed and huffed. "That's me... and it's Arabella."
 
This is exactly what I wanted to prevent in Shanghai, I was always known as Edward & Alice Van Buren's daughter and not as 'Arabella'.
 
Well, I was determined to change that.

bio;
ever since the virus, marlow has been a wreck. she drinks, smokes, and can even be caught talking to herself. the world’s silence is slowly driving her mad. marlow’s younger brother, rowan, is the only one who has managed to keep her sane, but if things don’t change soon, they are both going to be destined for the loony bin. marlow craves attention and just wants to be needed and loved. what a shame that such a pretty girl could get caught up in such an ugly nightmare.
backstory;
marlow is the oddball, and some might say an outcast. she never used to be that way until the virus hit. she was a notorious, wealthy socialite, always seen at the coolest clubs and hippest parties. she was never spotted alone, always surrounded by her adoring friends, and she liked it that way. before long though, their innocence started to fade. like most teenagers, they began to get a little too curious. they were offered harmful drugs, alcohol, and nasty chemicals, and took them... with no hesitation. what a shame.
soon after, marlow's friends each began to fall sick. marlow got scared fearing that it was the drugs that did it to them, and she stopped... vowing never to touch anything of that sort again. that's when things started to get really strange. marlow heard talk about a supposed "virus" that was going around, and she didn't believe it. her parents had tried to keep her brother, rowan, and her sheltered from all the rumors and lies of tv, so they were not allowed to watch. it was all a mystery.
marlow’s parents started acting really strange and soon banned contact with the outside world completely. nobody was allowed to go out and nobody was allowed to come in. they lived this way, in total isolation for a few months. it drove marlow crazy. she hated the unknown and wanted so badly to escape, which she attempted multiple times, without success.
marlows parents believed they could beat the virus, but its wrath was unavoidable… and they too fell ill, and died almost immediately. marlow and rowan were devastated and alone. they both decided to gather up their courage and leave the house, and were shocked at what they saw. thousands of lifeless bodies lined the street, including the ones of marlow's closest friends. this drove her over the edge, to the point of no return.
lucky for her she had saved all of the horrible substances that had once frightened her. she would often sit in the middle of the dead street, smoking, drinking, and carrying on to herself until the early hours of the morning. rowan would often find her passed out cold, high as a kite and drunk as a sailor. but who could blame her? what else was there too do in this horribly depressing world that had turned its back on her.

7/25 -- Traveling back to Verona.
 
My fingers scrambled quickly through my purse in search of my train ticket. This would be a lot easier if I wasn't trying to look for the right platform and drag two overstuffed louis vuitton suitcases behind me at the same time.
 
"Damn." I paused in the middle of the station and set down my stuff. People were shuffling in a hurry all around me, in all directions.
 
I continued to dig through my purse, with no luck.
"I know you're in here somewhere!" I said through gritted teeth and then preceded to sit down on top of my suitcase and dump my purse out on the ground beside it.
 
After shifting through the neverending pile of shet from my purse, I found it.
 
I looked up at the clock on the wall, 5 minutes until the train departed.
 
"F.ck!" I kneeled down and started scrambling to get the crap back into my purse.
 
Somebody kneeled down beside me. I lifted my head up.
 
"Looks like you're having some trouble here."
 
I snapped back. "Ya, think? I have less than five minutes to get to where I need to go before the train freaking leaves my arse!"
 
He chuckled and helped me collect my stuff off the ground and then stood up.
 
He held his hand out to help me up. I grabbed it and was pulled up with ease.
 
"Thanks." I mumbled.
 
"Just being a gentleman." He smiled warmly.
 
I attempted to grab hold of both of my suitcases, with difficulty.
 
"Let me help you. So where you headed anyway, miss?"
 
He grabbed the handles of both my suitcases and we started walking.
 
"Back to Verona, actually..." I replied, smiling.
 
"Really? Me too. I was in Milan on business."
 
"What a coincidence, so I'm guessing you have to go to platform nine too?'
 
He nodded his head. There it was, a few feet away, platform nine.
 
"All aboard!" I heard the conductor shout.
 
"Shit!" I grabbed his arm and started to run. Just in time.
 
We handed the conductor our tickets and shuffled inside. I quickly started down the hallway with the very attractive guy close behind me.
 
I passed some of the other girls and gave them a smile and wink. They gave me a thumbs up.
 
We found an empty booth and sat down opposite eachother. We bursted out laughing.
 
"Well, that was a close one." I said giddily.
 
"That's for sure. I'm sorry miss, but I never asked your name..."
 
"It's Lively, but everybody calls me Livvy or Liv..."
 
He smiled. "Your name is lovely." I blushed.
 
"...and what's yours? I think I should know the name of the handsome gentleman that helped me out so much."

I knew this party was going to be unforgettable.
 
I walked inside, the loud music pumping, loads of people dancing, conversing, and drinking. I love the whole atmosphere of parties.
 
The night just got even better. I spotted James, this boy I had met a few days earlier at a small coffee shop in Verona. He had taken me for a ride on his motorcycle and we had hung out at my place a couple of times, but nothing serious.
 
As I was sipping on my drink, swaying to the music, I took a few quick glances at Jamie.
 
I wanted him to notice me, to come over and talk to me, maybe a little too much. I didn't have the guts to.
 
Jens came over, two drinks in hand and nudged my shoulder. 'Hey Livvy, you came!" I smiled. "Of course I did Jens, wouldn't miss it." Another quick glance at Jamie, and Jens noticed.
 
She smirked. 'You like that guy don't you?" I shook my head. "Oh no, just a friend."
 
Jens giggled. "With benefits?" I coudn't help but giggle myself. "Oh, hush Jens!" I could feel my cheeks turning pink.
 
Jens smiled. "Here, take this Livvy." She handed one of the drinks over to me. "You're going to need it."
 
I smiled as a way of saying thank you and gulped it down. "Now go get him, girl!" She winked and nodded to him.
 
I hugged Jens and walked off in Jamie's direction. I could feel the alcohol kicking in, an instant confidence boost.
 
Jamie was chatting it up with two bimbos, who both looked infactuated with him.
 
I strut up to him anyway. The girls backed up a little, and their eyes seemed to say "What the f.ck does she think she's doing?"
 
He looked surprised. "Liv?"
 
I got up close and personal. "Jamie." I whispered in his ear. I gulped and looked up at his flawless face. Porcelein skin, bright blue eyes, I couldn't take it any more.
 
I cupped his chin, gently brought his face down to meet mine, and pressed my lips against his.
 
The two bimbos huffed and stormed off.
 
Out the corner of my eye, in a large crowd of people, I saw Jens, smiling big as she looked over at us, making out.
 
"Get some, girl!!" I heard her shout to me, and I couldn't help but smile against Jamie's lips.
